With more than 20 years of senior management experience with blue-chip entertainment, consumer goods multinationals and venture backed enterprises, David Gosen served in senior management positions at British Sky Broadcasting, Mercury One-to-One, Pepsico, and Coca-Cola & Schweppes Beverages.
Gosen entered the games industry in 1999 as the Managing Director of Nintendo Europe where, over a 5-year period, he was responsible for leading Nintendo's significant European growth across console and handheld.
In 2004 he left Nintendo, just weeks after voicing his disdain of journalist, violent video games and retail practices, which although not confirm, many industry observers felt was linked to his departure. Moving into the mobile sector Gosen took up the role of COO at Digital Bridges - reinvented in 2005 as I-play Mobile Entertainment - where, through a casual consumer focused strategy, he drove the company to be one of the top 5 mobile gaming publishers. In March 2006, following a period as acting CEO, he was officially appointed the position.
In 2008 David Gosen returned to console gaming, taking the position of Vice President of Strategic Marketing at Microsoft's Interactive Entertainment Business in Europe.
