Summary
The GamesAid Triple Pack brings three massive games into one handy package. GamesAid is a games industry charity dedicated to helping children through fundraising for various causes, so by getting this release you're not only getting a lot of bang for your buck - you're also helping a good cause! Included are Eidos's Tomb Raider: Underworld, SEGA Superstars Tennis and Codemasters' Fuel.
In Tomb Raider Underworld, Lara Croft is back with a bang – or more appropriately, a burn, as Tomb Raider Underworld begins its story with the famous Croft Manor going down in flames. Rewind just a few days though and you get to embark on a new adventure to discover just why someone decided to play with matches.
There's a good mix of action and grey matter-bending puzzles, but the focus in Underworld is to truly make it your adventure game. If it hurts when you think, and therefore you don't like the puzzle element, there's a handy hints system that provide tips to overcome your current situation.
Then there's SEGA Superstars Tennis. SEGA has, let's face it, one of the most revered catalogues of intellectual property in the games industry. Now, it does to the tennis game what Nintendo has done for the beat 'em up with Super Smash Bros. Brawl. Namely, it has brought together its best know characters in one place to face off against each other (obviously they use tennis rackets instead of fists and weapons!)
Players will find 15 playable SEGA characters up for grabs, including Sonic the Hedgehog, AiAi from Super Monkeyball fame, Ulala of Space Channel 5 and Amigo from Samba De Amigo.
Last and, of course, not least is Fuel. In Fuel, petrol (or gas, depending on what side of the Atlantic you're on) is in very short supply. Petrolheads race each other across a landscape that's been devastated by accelerated climate change, competing for the good stuff that can keep their vehicle moving for just a few more hours.
It's that devastated landscape that's the real star of the show. The game's developer, Asobo, claims there is upwards of 5,000+ square miles of drivable terrain. Yes, that's drivable. If you can see it, you can drive it. Expect desert flats, jagged mountains protruding from the Earth like broken teeth, snowy summits, burnt out forests and more. Expect the usual off-road suspects such as bikes, buggies, quads, muscle cars, SUVs and trucks as you race in events ranging from straight A to B races in which you choose your own path to tightly monitored checkpoint races to chopper chases.
That's loads to sink your teeth into!
