Summary

You might be familiar with Shaun White the snowboarder, but did you know he's pretty handy (or should we say 'footy'?) with a skateboard, too? Well, he is. Having used the Shaun White license over a number of snowboarding games, Ubisoft has opted to push Shaun's other boarding talent to the fore.

This is no ordinary skating game, though. Rather than try to take on the realism of EA's Skate, Ubisoft has opted to go for a more fantastic approach. You find yourself in a totalitarian world run by an oppressive government that has thoroughly squashed any inspiration. That government has also imprisoned Shaun, and using your custom character it's your job to free him. How do you do this? Skate!

Landing tricks will splash life and colour into this otherwise grey world. Using your deck, you'll take on missions against the state to ultimately free Shaun. As you progress, you'll open up new areas of the city, shaping it as you go to create better skating lines.

One particularly unique feature is the ability to 'shape' Ubisoft that has built into the game. This enables you to extend certain rails and ramps in any way you see fit, tricking your way to glory as you do it!

Ultimately, Shaun White Skateboarding is about seeing the environment through a skater's eyes – as an opportunity for creativity. So grab a controller and express yourself!
