Summary

With James Cameron’s self-professed magnum opus hitting the big screen, you too can stage your very own intergalactic Cowboys and Indians with Avatar: The Game. Following events from the upcoming movie, you will explore the alien planet called Pandora and get thrown into the middle of the conflict between the indigenous Na’vi people and the colonising RDA Corporation.

The Na’vi have lived on Pandora since time began, and have co-existed with all the other wonderful life forms that the planet offers. It is when the RDA arrive to seek Pandora’s valuable natural resources when war breaks out. The Wii version of Avatar, however, heads off into its own territory. You play as a Na'vi created especially for the game. When the human interlopers have away with some precious Na'vi artefacts, it's up to you to recover them, infiltrating human compounds and taking them back either using stealth or brute force.

The game is split between the aforementioned stealthy on-foot sections and Panzer Dragoon style airborne sections. As you soar above the jungles, you'll get the added bonus of being able to bring the Balance Board into play, substituting the Wii Remote and Nunchuk control system for shifting your weight around to manoeuvre your winged beastie.

With a story and premise that reflects the deep cultural messages of the movie, James Cameron’s Avatar: The Game will immerse you in those messages and provide an even more striking moral connection with the player.
