Hell's Kitchen - Wii Screen

Summary

Gordon Ramsay's TV show, Hell's Kitchen, is far from the jolly or even sedate cooking outings dished up by other celebrity chefs. It provides the opportunity for cooks of diverse backgrounds to compete under the Michelin-starred cook's sometimes tyrannical gaze for the chance to work for him. Now the video game provides gamers with the chance to experience the thrills and literal spills of the competition without the actual stress.

The game features a 3D model of Chef Ramsay who comments on your efforts as they pass from kitchen to the dining room. That means in order to make your way from humble novice kitchen monkey to running a 'Five-Star' restaurant owned by the sweary one, you have to learn and then complete to perfection some 35 of the great man's own recipes.

But it's not going to be an easy ride. You will first have to unlock the recipes themselves before you have the chance to understand them let alone get your hand-to-eye to screen skills working fast enough and in concert to reach the standard required.

This is a test of timing, memory, dexterity and nerve, as you are never quite sure how 3D Gordon will react to your take on his food. The game is not a cooking guide so much as it is a gladiatorial battle.
