Summary

One of 2001's overlooked cinema releases, Driven, hasn’t just made an appearance on the big screen, but also on PlayStation 2 in the form of yet another Formula One racing game. Well, now it’s coming to GameCube in its final outing on console.

Pitted against their archrivals, Beau Brandenburg and Max Manley, gamers will fight for survival. Do you have what it takes to enter 'the zone' and then push on to the 'ragged edge'? Will you snatch victory from the others and take your place on the champion's podium?

Good old Sly Stallone has made a rare video game appearance and has offered up his voice talents in an attempt to make the Driven experience more authentic, and it kind of does the trick. The man is a true artist, and no mistake.

As for the rest of the game? Well it’s pretty much a standard 3D racing affair. Nice strong visuals accompanied with accurately modelled cars and plenty of high octane action. There are lots of courses and lots of challenges. We can't say that it’s the best Formula One simulaton ever, but it’s well worth a look, especially in its new GameCube garb.
