Summary

Not wanting to give anything away, the year is 2150, the location is Earth. Have we said too much? The situation reads as follows: The distance between the Sun and the Earth is decreasing. According to scientists, this can only lead to the imminent destruction of the planet. Previously, something called the Sunlight Project allowed the largest part of the population to escape the planet and impending Armageddon - those left behind became known as the Lost Souls. Angered at being left to die, they seek revenge on those that fled and left them behind.

The third instalment of the real-time strategy series, Lost Souls continues the saga of the conflict between three warring factions: the Eurasian Dynasty, the United Civilised States and the Lunar Corporation. In the previous instalments, devastating wars between the factions wreaked havoc and caused mortal wounds to planet Earth.

The game is made up of three episodes, one for each of the factions. In the Eurasian Dynasty campaign, players take on the role of General Fedorov and are given the task of supervising the preparation of the start of the escape shuttles and protecting them from attack from either the UCS or the LC. The Lunar Co-operation campaign sees players cast as a recruit, charged with the task of protecting a secret project. Finally, in the United Civilised States campaign the role is that of Marcus Gordin, the UCS's former defence minister.

Massive in scope, the player must carefully decide between the three opposing forces, this decision subsequently affecting the entire character of the game and thus giving immense gameplay options for resource management, research and development, battle and stealth.
