Formed in 2002 by industry veteran Jim Scott, Oxygen Interactive published video games across Europe under two labels, Oxygen Games and Liquid Games.
Focusing on the PC market in its early years, the company went on the publish games for PS2, Xbox, GameCube, DS and Wii. Some of its more memorable and acclaimed titles include the PDC World Championship Darts series and Cate West: The Vanishing Files on DS and Wii.
In 2007 the company expanded into the US market, in the same year establishing Oxygen Studios, its own internal development arm creating titles primarily for Wii and DS.
Growing the 14 staff the studio was closed by it's parent in early 2009, signalling coming trouble for the publisher.
By October of the same year, in the depth of recession, it was announced that the publisher had entered administration.
Oxygen's first work that SPOnG is aware of is the 2000 title, "Horde: Northern Wind" (PC).
The company has been involved titles released on the PC, Wii, PS3, Xbox 360, DS/DSi, PS2, PSP, Xbox and GameCube. Of these, "PDC World Championship Darts 2008" (Wii) has been a best selling title.
The company's most recent involvement was on the 2012 release "Cartoon Network: Punch Time Explosion" (Wii).
