Summary
Freestyle Scooter is officially the very first scooter game to be released on the Game Boy Advance. Following on from the success of the accomplished PlayStation version, this portable edition lets you scoot while on the move. Similar to the Advance version of Tony Hawk, Freestyle Scooter replaces the decks with scooters.
Performing tricks like these in real life is extremely dangerous and should be left to the professionals. But in the virtual world the only injury you risk is a strained neck. Take your scooter to the funbox and bust out some wicked tricks like tailwhips and motocross inspired superman manoeuvres.
Players can add to the time bar by pulling out well timed massive air tricks which are almost guaranteed to impressive the judges, helping out your score of course. Air tricks are only half the fun of Freestyle scooter, if you want to master this game you’ll have to get down grind tricks as well. If you can see an edge chances are you can grind it. Link together grinds and air tricks into impressive, and high-scoring combinations. The possibilities are only limited by your gaming imagination.
Freestyle Scooter boasts six varied levels to scoot across, including a construction site, a circus, and aircraft carrier. Although beware the edges of the carrier as drops into the ocean are far from pleasant. Each level has a selection of diverse goals to keep the game fresh and if players reach set score limits, gameplay enhancing cheats will be unlocked.
