Summary

The long-running animated TV series Scooby Doo has always been popular, but in recent years the franchise has grown into a massive phenomenon. So much so, in fact, that a live action movie is in production, but it doesn’t stop there.

Scooby and the gang are now making their way onto numerous gaming platforms, not least PC. Telling an all-new interactive mystery is Phantom of the Knight for PC.

Unable to resist a mystery, Scooby, Shaggy, Daphne, Velma and Fred have once again managed to get into serious trouble. This time, they’re up against a fire-breathing dragon, a wizard and the ghost of the Black Knight. Are you up to the challenge?

Because Phantom of the Knight has a young but broad target audience, three difficulty settings have been incorporated that will suit players between the ages of five and ten. The main task within the game is to explore as many as 25 fully interactive environments. Within each environment there are tons of clues and items to uncover. But not all items are easy to get hold of. Many of them must be earned through solving puzzles and completing mini games. Most importantly, and giving the game considerable replay value, Phantom of the Knight has multiple endings, depending on the decisions made throughout the game. Also, animations, movies and an original soundtrack help to give Phantom of the Knight a classic feel.

For adults, this really is a blast from the past, but for the game’s target audience, the kids, it’s superb. It’s funny, courtesy of Scooby and Shaggy, it’s engrossing and thoroughly enjoyable.
