Summary

If you can remember the original GameBoy seeing its launch many moons ago, you should remember a brilliant little game called Motocross Maniacs. It was a side scrolling motorbike game in which the player raced against another rider to complete a stunt course. Imagine this mixed with Micro Machines and you should get the idea.
It would be fair to say that Hot Wheels Stunt Driver is Micro Machines in 2D. And it’s great! The basic premise of the game is simple. The more stunts you perform, the faster your little die-cast car goes. There is a bonus system for completing stunt combos and multiplayer one on one games.
The tracks are, in the style of Micro Machines, set around the house and garden and include the bedroom, living room, the snow covered back yard and the barn.
You have three basic stunts at your disposal. Flipping the car vertically up or down, spinning the car horizontally right or left and rolling the car right or left. The more revolutions you can perform, the faster you will be able to go as each time a stunt is completed your car’s top speed will increase. If you are looking for a Micro Machines – esque game for your GameBoy, look no further than Hot Wheels Stunt Racer.
