Summary

Bond is back on the Nintendo 64! After Rare’s first-person shooter GoldenEye, Electronic Arts bring us The World Is Not Enough. The game of the movie is set across fourteen levels including the brilliant chase on the River Thames. As you move through the levels, each of which progresses along the plotline of the film, you begin to unravel the heinous plot concocted by Renard to steal the fortune of the dead millionaire Sir Robert King and use it to bring the world to its knees.

OK, first things first. Before you fly out to Kazakhstan, you need an arsenal of weapons and gadgets from MI-6’s Q division. These include a miniature camera, which operates in low light, a covert modem, which when attached to an enemy computer will relay information back to base.

One of the improvements Electronic Arts has made over GoldenEye is the options screen in multiplayer mode. There are more game play variables which allow the player to customise the gameplay in Death Match mode. Also, a whole host of new speech elements have been included with bad guys and hostages making threats and pleas respectively.

There is an abundance of first person shooters on the N64, many of which are of high quality. The World Is Not Enough is another to add to your collection and with Bond as the star, you can’t go wrong.
