Summary
It has been nine months since the alien Catteni completed their invasion of Earth, successfully colonising the planet in a matter of days.
All organised defences have been smashed, every human government and standing military has been destroyed, and major cities are smouldering ruins. The worldwide economy has collapsed, and the vast majority of the survivors dwell in refugee camps - not counting the millions who have simply vanished. Earth is ruled by the Provisional Authority, humans who administer the planet on behalf of their alien masters. Only the Resistance, a ragged network of freedom fighters, guerillas and other rag-tag resisters, stands against the Provisional Authority and the alien powers behind it, and only the Resistance has any hope of ending the nightmare.
The Resistance has neither numbers nor resources on its side, but it does have the unshakeable determination of Angel Sanchez, a young freedom fighter. With everything she knows and loves destroyed in the invasion, Angel harnesses her anger and gathers a team of like-minded rebels to rid Earth of its alien overlords.
Freedom: First Resistance is a 3rd person single player action-adventure game based on Anne McCaffrey's Freedom trilogy of novels. Players become members of a team of freedom fighters intent on throwing off the Catteni yoke. Through a combination of stealth, combat, puzzle-solving and discussion, the player guides the team through a series of missions until the Earth has been freed from alien rule. Along the way, the player will interact with both allied and enemy non-player characters, explore the world and grow and change as the plot progresses.
