Summary

Space combat games are among some of the most popular genres around. As PC and console technology advanced at great speeds, developers were able put together more realistic environments and a believable atmosphere. Colony Wars, released both on PC and PlayStation showed the capabilities of such formats. I-War is new for PC, and set out to be another memorable title within the space combat genre. But can I-War live up to gamer’s expectations?

I-War initially gives you two options of play. Instant access gives you the chance to participate in space wars without the harsh story line and a huge list of objectives. Great, if you have a spare half-hour. Those of you with a little more time and patience can sit back and get stuck into I-War’s rosta mode. Before beginning rosta mode, you will be forced to take on a training mission. The necessity of this mission will quickly become apparent when you get into the game proper.

I-War doesn’t have any outstanding assets, but fans of Star Trek, Babylon 5, or any other space adventure, will no doubt bump into this little title.
