Many games players say that retro games should stay where they belong; in the past. However, many hardcore gamers believe that many of today’s catalogue of video games just aren’t up to scratch, regardless of graphical prowess. The Bust-A-Move series is among the many ancient classics to be revived. The fact that Bust-A-Move 4 has been released is clear cut evidence that gameplay is the most significant asset to a game.

With the re-release of the classic duo, Bubble and Bobble, Bust-A-Move 4 will be received with a warm welcome among the retro population of the industry. As many of you will already know, the gameplay behind Bubble Bobble consists of matching three balloons of the same colour in order to burst them. Amazingly, it can sometimes be the simplicity of a game that makes it addictive, allowing you to quickly master the technique. New to the forth addition in the series, a number of objects and obstacles have been included to the formula, forcing you to improve your strategies and tactics.

Once again, Bust-A-Move shows that it isn’t always the hardware, development time or marketing that can create a great product.
