Jason’s first job in the industry was as a level designer for Microprose, arguably the most important position in game development. He worked on X-Com Terror from the Deep, before moving onto pastures new a Civil Engineering Consultant.
Eventually, he joined Electronic Arts, where he’s been ever since. He’s now a producer responsible for EA Sports titles and third-party development.
Oh, and his all-time favourite is Elite for the BBC B.
Jason Avent's first video game work that SPOnG is aware of is the 1995 title, "X-Com: Terror from the Deep" (PC) as Level/Map Design.
Jason's most recent involvement was as Project Leader/Producer on the 2000 release "Superbike 2000" (PC).
