Summary

The TT Isle of Man race is one of the most iconic and notorious motorsports events in the world. It's been held annually since 1907 and sits close to the hearts of riders and fans alike. While it's famous, however, it's also deadly. Between 1949 and 1976 the event was part of the FIM Motor-cycle Grand Prix World Championship, but following controversies over safety it was removed from the circuit. That's what you're taking on when you fire up TT Isle of Man: Ride on the Edge. Arguably the most dangerous street racing course in the world, the Snaefell Mountain Course is a 37 mile circuit that has claimed the lives of no less than 251 lives over its storied history.

Developer Kylotonn, a French studio responsible for a host of racing games including WRC 5, has had unprecedented access to the course, working with the Isle of Man Department of Economic Development to chart its twist and turns with a meticulous eye for accuracy using laserscan and photogrammetry. That's no mean feat - as publisher BigBen puts it, that's 61km of road and 264 turns longer and more difficult than all other GP tracks put together. Along with that you get 24 officially licensed riders and 38 bikes, which you can make use of in a career mode inspired by TT training and qualifying rounds on 10 different tracks.

Add in a garage for fine-tuning bikes and online multiplayer and fans have a deep experience of the beating heart of TT to get excited about!
