Summary

There's a clue in the name of Runbow as to what it's all about. For one - yes, there's a lot of running to be done here. For two - yep, colour's also a big factor in how this bright feast for your eyeballs operates.

Poster District is under threat from the evil Satura in Runbow's core adventure mode. As you might expect, it's up to you to save the day through a whole heap of mindbending, platforming action. The mechanic that sets Runbow apart is how colour affects the environment. A platform is only there as long as you can see it, and the colour of the background environment is always changing. That means that if it becomes the same colour as a platform that platform suddenly becomes a no-go, meaning you'd better bring your reflexes to the party.

The game offers a whopping 140 levels in the single-player mode, with an ultra-hardcore mode known as The Bowhemoth to test your skills in the belly of a giant beast.

If you're looking for bragging rights, though, you might try the multiplayer mode. Up to nine players can step into the colourful and chaotic arena either online or locally for Run, Arena, or King of the Hill challenges. Indie games fans are in for an additional treat, too, with appearances by characters from the likes of Steamworld Dig, Guacamelee, Gunvolt and a ton more!
