Summary

After a bit of time away, snowboarding games are back in a big way in 2016. First up is Mark McMorris Infinite Air, a game that emphasizes big mountains and as much content as you could possibly hope to shred.

The game's cover star and namesake, Mark McMorris, brings a host of his pro snowboarder mates to the game, giving players the option to ride alongside the likes of Mark's brother, Craig, Danny Davis, Silje Norendal, Torstein Horgmo and Ulrik Badertscher.

Or, if you prefer, instead of going up against the pros you can challenge your friends to beat you in real-life competitions, with events ranging from Slopestyle to Big Air to Halfpipe competitions.

Developer HB Studios has gone for a real epic feel for the game, with big mountains, wide angles and a minimal hub that will give Infinite Air the feel of hit films such as The Art of Flight and The Fourth Phase.

The game serves up as many runs as you could possibly hope to master, too, with procedurally generated mountains. Beyond that, those who want to take a deeper dive can build their own runs and then, if they care to, share them with the community at large.

There's no need to wait for winter to roll around, Mark McMorris Infinite Air has all the powder you can ride!
