Summary
Pitching itself towards seasoned Final Fantasy fans and newcomers alike, World of Final Fantasy is a fresh approach to the storied franchise that aims to delight both camps. This spin-off from the main series is packed with iconic creatures and characters from the Final Fantasy world, all presented in a toy-like art style.
You play as the amnesiac twins, the magically gifted Reynn and Lann. With the help of their talking fox sidekick, Tama, the pair embark on a perilous journey to save their mother, and the entire world.
The game is built around monster catching mechanics reminiscent of Pokemon, and World of Final Fantasy has a deep pool to draw on. Capture and raise familiar beasts like cactuar, chocobo and behemoth and then discover alternate forms and learn new abilities to play with. That's just the start, though. Players can also shrink themselves to ride monsters during combat, or shrink the monsters to 'stack' them and combine their abilities in new, interesting and sometimes weird ways.
As well as familiar monsters, players will encounter familiar characters. Classic characters such as Cloud and Lightning will make appearances, giving veterans and newcomers alike a deep dive into the World of Final Fantasy.
