Summary

Yuji Naka is a legend in the world of game design. His back catalogue involve the likes of Sonic the Hedgehog, NiGHTS into Dreams and Phantasy Online. His influence on the latest title to bear is name won't be lost on anyone who has played any of his previous attempts at 3D platforming.

The titular character is having a rough time of it. Right at the start of the game he awakes to find he's been unconscious for no less than 1,000 years. He's a machine with a smattering of memories that are returning to him in bits and pieces. Why was he built? Why does he have a human heart? What has happened to the world in the millenium that he's been gone? With the past starting to catch up with him, he'd better get those answers as soon as possible...

As the title suggests, Rodea is a sky soldier, which means that there's a lot of flying through the aerial kingdom of Rodea to be done here. While airborne players will need to destroy enemies and solve puzzles, upgrading their abilities as they go. If you collect gears and gravitons Ion, your inventor pal, will be able to use them to give Rodea new abilities and weapons, ranging from stat upgrades to powerful machine guns. The bosses can be colossal, requiring daring feats of airborne acrobatics, so you'd best be as ready as possible!
