Summary

You never REALLY thought Nintendo was just going to release a blockbuster like LEGO City Undercover: Undercover on the Wii U and leave things there, did you? Of course not. So here we are with LEGO City Undercover: The Chase Begins, a prequel to the acclaimed console game.

Much like its console cousin, The Chase Begins is a sandbox game. Think Grand Theft Auto for kids. Chase McCain is on the streets of LEGO City again, but this time he's a rookie cop just starting out. Players take control of him to show that crime is no way to build a society.

Gameplay is a mixture of open-world driving, light combat, platforming and puzzling. There's a great big world to explore and it's packed not only with story missions, but also with a wealth of side missions to complete. There's a lot of game packed into this little cart.

It's not as straightforward as just driving around solving crimes, though. Players pick up different outfits and disguises, each with their own unique abilities. Completing a mission is always about matching the right outfit to the job at hand.

Have you got what it takes to clean up the mean streets of LEGO City?
