Summary

The latest spin-off from the long-running and popular RPG series starts as it always does: with a main character suffering from amnesia. Micah, the main character in the game, shows up in a small town and is immediately tasked with running the farm. So far, so Harvest Moon – but this time, things are a little different.

As well as tending crops and going fishing, Rune Factory 3 adds a more adventurous element by introducing dungeons to explore and monsters to battle. Micah isn't your normal kind of kid though. He's actually half monster and can transform into a Golden Wooly (yes, a Golden Wooly) at will. This is very useful as he traipses through the dungeons accompanied by other villagers taking down enemies. Oh, and the gamer can plant crops down in the monster-filled depths too.

There is also a multiplayer option that lets up to three players work together as they attempt to conquer the dungeons. More indepth than any previous Harvest Moon title, Rune Factory 3 keeps the traditional cutesy style that Neverland and Natsume have made their own. Available only on Nintendo DS, it's yet another quality RPG for those who like to mix their action with agriculture.
