Summary

Coming from Swedish developer Colossai Studios and published by Simbin, Storm: Frontline Nation is a turn-based strategy game that deals with the forthcoming collapse of the world as we know it because of lack of resources.

The game involves two turn types:

The Strategic level – this involves a view over Europe and North Africa where the gamer must successfully organise and manage both the production and coordination of their armies. It’s not all about combat though, as players must also involve themselves in diplomatic negotiations and research in order to complete the story missions.

The Tactical level - this is where the army and technology management comes together with the diplomacy (allies must be made) and the battles are played out. The player takes control of military units in dynamically created battlefields with different terrains and the use of dynamic weather systems. Deploying customizable units requires a mix of guts and tactical awareness to win.

There are two campaigns to choose from where players choose to ally Germany, France, England, Russia or with the USA in skirmish and online missions.

Players can be diplomats or aggressors in a world divided into 500 sectors and featuring more than 100 real cities.

All this can be played out in single-player or LAN-based and Internet multiplayer modes.
