Summary

The legendary Sims series enters a new era with the Generations pack that offers gamers the chance to experience the most memorable – and often funny – moments of their Sims characters’ lives from babyhood to adulthood and all that happens in between.

The expansion pack sees gamers given the power to capture and therefore keep a weather eye on specific life moments of their charges by the use of in-game cameras. This enables the player not only to track but to upload and share their Sims’ memories on the www.TheSims3.com website. This being a connected world and a very connected game however, the ability to upload snaps to Facebook via the new memory system is also now available.

The idea is for players to begin a Sim lifecyle with something such as dance classes – although there are also the options to muck around with an imaginary friend or to play up in a tree houses or a pretend space rocket or even a wooden shack.

The teenage years come all too soon however, with the thrill of exploding toilets, putting coloured dye in the shower. The big teen occasions such as the Prom also offer the chance to become Prom King or Queen... or have a house party to the chagrin of the parents, especially when the chemistry set included in the pack comes out.

Adult Sims can prepare for married life by planning, hosting or attending bachelor and bachelorette parties before their own lavish weddings. Then it’s onto the mid-life crisis with changes of hair, clothes, bodies and more.
