Summary
When you think of home video body workouts and living room fitness, there's one series that stands out from the others. The 10 Minute Solution series has been a boon to house-bound folks who want to be a little more active in their daily life, and now with the help of Activision the show makes the transition from DVD to Nintendo Wii.
The game takes a realistic but light-hearted approach to indoor exercises, with colourful icons and effects set against the backdrop of a idyllic dream gym. Staying true to its name, users are able to tackle fitness routines lasting ten minutes each – these are organised into one of three main categories: cardio boxing, mixed games and aerobics.
Within each category is a wealth of different exercises and tests that can be arranged to the player's content – thus creating a custom 10 Minute Solution of their own. It's not just activities that can be enjoyed in this game though, as a selection of health and wellness tips are included to help get the best out of a broader fitness regime.
Video clips from various DVDs in the 10 Minute Solution series can be found as an added bonus, and players can use the Wii Balance Board to take advantage of some more refined exercises. This may be called the 10 Minute Solution, but with all the features in here it's likely that it will be used for a lot longer than that.
