Summary

Everybody knows developer Omega Force as the brains behind the historical, cheesy but ultra-fun Dynasty Warriors series, and as the years go by the studio has helped refine the third-person beat ‘em up genre many times over - but always in the realm of history. With Trinity: Souls of Zill O’ll, it is dipping its toe into the fantasy world and offering an action adventure for those who are more interested in magic and dragons than shoguns and temples.

You take control of three different characters as they fulfil an ancient prophecy and take down the evil King of Biascion. Switching between the warrior, wizard and assassin characters is as simple as pressing a button, and the effects are just as immediate - each fantasy fighter has their own style of combat which can link into the moves of another to allow for chain combos.

There isn’t just one way to complete a stage either - the interactive scenery means that new paths can be opened by destroying objects, setting areas on fire or freezing weak spots with magic. And you’ll need to use every trick in the book to find safer routes, because your journey will be filled with monstrous beasts, structure-smashing orcs and mythical creatures such as gryphons. From vast fields to mysterious cities and dark chambers, explore the world of Biascion and overthrow the King.
