Summary
Sonny With A Chance is a bit of a cheesy pun – it sounds like the sort of title that you'd see on a teenage comedy programme for a Saturday morning. Which is just as well really, because this Nintendo DS title is based off of the Disney TV show of the same name.
It's all based around a kids' sketch show called “So Random,” which 16-year-old Sonny Munroe becomes involved in after moving from the back of beyond (that's Wisconsin) to the beating heart of entertainment (that's Los Angeles). As part of a comedy troupe, Sonny gets to engage in all sorts of wacky activities, and in the game you get to replicate them in portable form.
40 different mini-games are on hand for you to play, and you'll be spending time with all of the cast – from Sonny to Tawni, Nico, Grady and even Zora – to see who can earn the most fan mail. That's right, the guys are competing for fame and fortune.
Activities from past episodes will be realised on the Nintendo DS, from pie throwing, puzzle solving, racing and rhythm-based gaming to name but a few. In between the mini-games you'll come across show producer Marshall and rival star Chad, who will also get involved in the game board. Customise your characters with unlockable items and costumes, and enjoy two mini-games that have been designed exclusively for the Nintendo DSi.
