The survival of humanity stands on the edge of utter ruin as three powerful factions vie for control of the galaxy. Take command of one of three space-faring races as you work to establish your domination of the galaxy in Sins of a Solar Empire. Fighting for the survival of your entire race against relentless foes, your success will depend entirely on your ability to manage your empire and command your vast fleets of starships to victory. Through a combination of diplomacy, economic skill, cultural influence, and sheer military might you will establish order over your corner of the galaxy.
You will assume ultimate control over one of three galactic powers: an ancient alien civilization running from a terror of their own creation, a loose coalition of traders forced to annex their own people or an exiled empire of powerful psionics bent on revenge. Will you lead them to salvation or condemn them to extinction? The choice is yours...
Among other improvements, the gameplay depth of Sins of a Solar Empire is enhanced by Entrenchment by offering the player the ability to build & customize massive star bases, fortify your empire with new defences and mine fields, take on the challenging new AI and rain destruction with new defence-busting capabilities. The expansion also offers extensive new modding capabilities and faster play options.
Diplomacy offers more new features again. For starters, there's an all new diplomacy and relationship system, including a new diplomatic tech tree. You can build relationships with your neighbors to earn their trust and form powerful pacts. Unique diplomatic system makes each faction come to life based on players’ actions. You'll have powerful new diplomatic tools at your disposal: establish technology treaties, metal and crystal pacts, and more. Create missions for other players and reward them for their efforts. Deal with pirates that are deadlier, and potentially more useful, than ever before. Those who feel like they've mastered Sins of a Solar Empire will discover two new difficulty levels for an even greater challenge. There are also two new victory conditions: Diplomatic and Allied. On top of all that, enhanced AI makes the enemy more ruthless than ever before!
