Summary

The original Eye of Judgment on the PlayStation 3 presented a grand new way to play the traditional trading card game, by using the PlayStation Eye peripheral to create virtual monsters on screen whenever it scanned one of the cards on the deck.

On the PlayStation Portable, The Eye of Judgment: Legends takes this format in a slightly different direction, as rather than using the camera peripheral or any other clunky add-on, your card deck is completely virtual. Digital trading cards are your weapon here, and there are over 300 of them to collect. As well as returning favourites from the classic Eye of Judgment deck, 30 of these cards are new to the franchise.

Cards are earned by playing through the game, and trading with a friend over the wireless ad-hoc connection. Winning battles will get you more cards than usual, and to help expand the experience you can buy new packs from the PlayStation Store, saving you the need to go out to the corner shop.

The Eye of Judgment cards aren't your average trading cards – they contain battle monsters inside. As you lay down your deck during a game, the war-hardened creature will materialise from within it and attack its opponent at will. Deploying the right cards at the right time will give your monster the commands it needs to ensure victory.
