Summary

Samurai Warriors is one of those games that just seems to eat at your spare time. Nobody seems to know why, but these tactical action games set in Feudal Japan continue to be addictive, and this third entry – exclusive to the Nintendo Wii – is set to be no different.

Just like its historical Chinese counterpart, Dynasty Warriors, Samurai Warriors 3 offers some truly engaging battle scenarios from the annals of time, while providing an insight into the wars of the past. As a Samurai warlord, you will come face-to-face with many different armies of opposing factions. Luckily, there are over 35 new and returning characters that you can both play as and fight alongside with.

All-new fighting techniques can be found in Samurai Warriors 3 – as well as the usual melee attacks, you can engage the powerful Musou attack known as 'Kaiden', and with the brand new 'Eigi' technique you can get the chance to rack up an line of infinite combos. Makes you look real fly.

With its traditional-style combat set-up, players can use the Wii Classic Controller Pro to full effect here – although if you prefer there's still the opportunity to use a Wii and Nunchuk combination as well. Tackle the trials of ancient Japan, and bring a friend along for the ride in any of the available modes in the game. Kicking Samurai butt will never feel so good.
