Summary

We hear a lot about Germany whenever anyone mentions World War II and the Nazi regime. Or Winston Churchill. But not an awful lot of people talk about what happened in the European countries that were occupied by Nazis during this period of war.

Pandemic Studios, the creators of the Mercenaries series, tell such a tale in The Saboteur - a story about Irish racing mechanic Sean Devlin who seeks to topple the Nazi occupation in France. Thanks to the French Resistance, you become a liberation vigilante who carries out sabotage missions in the expansive game world.

An array of weapons and vehicles are at hand to help you take on the Nazis, who are hot on your tail if you make a big enough noise in any given area. If you’re spotted on suspicion of arson or sabotage, the German army opens fire to apprehend you. If you’re slick enough, you can evade capture and raise the Alarm meter to force the Nazis to bring in tanks and zeppelins.

The more you fight and take back for the people, the more colourful the world becomes as the art style features a unique ‘film noir’ approach to the game’s visuals. As you progress Sean gets the opportunity to beef up his abilities, earn better cars and gain the ability to pass through various checkpoints to enable him to cause havoc in the neighbouring town...

The resistance needs YOU!
