Summary

Portable squad-based gaming on the go. For a time, it didn't seem possible, but Sony created a spinoff to its flagship army series, SOCOM, to achieve this on the PlayStation Portable with effective results. Your mission here is to track down ex-KGB agent Alexander Gozorov, who has information on a terrorist attack aimed at the West. Leading or joining a four-man US Navy SEALs team, it's a race against time to take him down and avert the looming threat. The whole story is told in a cinematic way that will probably remind you of countless action flicks of the past.

The beauty of SOCOM is in its multiplayer, and not only can you play co-operatively with up to three other players in various modes, but up to 16 soldiers can take part in a competitive battle mode. Either styles of play can be enjoyed locally or online.
