Summary

MotorStorm: one of the PlayStation 3's greatest launch titles is on its way to PlayStation 2 and rather than a straight port of the home console version, it's an all-new PS2/PSP exclusive version featuring new tracks and vehicles in a stunning arctic environment. There are 12 new tracks in total, including Wolfpack Mountain, Widow Maker, Log Jam, Cold Rush, and Vertigo.

The MotorStorm music and off-road racing festival moves to Alaska, and some of the most challenging and inhospitable terrain Motorstormers have ever had to handle. Not only will racers have to cope with low traction, an inevitable and obvious consequence of the Arctic environment, but new environmental obstacles come into play in Arctic Edge: avalanches and collapsed ice bridges. Sounding your horn or causing a crash can bring down an avalanche that will sweep away opponents, or block the road, but beware, it could sweep you away too!

As is the Motorstorm way, each track has multiple routes, and winning is about choosing the one that best suits your vehicle and racing style. There are new classes of vehicle, designed for the permafrost, these are the Snowplough, which has the power to blast through snowdrifts, and the Snowmobile, which has the grip to handle the ice and snow - well, better than a buggy or mud-plugger can anyway. Driving through water cooled the boost in MotorStorm 2, deep snow will do the same in Arctic Edge.

For the first time in any MotorStorm game, Arctic Edge features vehicle customisation beyond simply changing the paint-job: wheels, exhausts, spoilers and vehicle appearance can all be upgraded, and players can create their own vehicle graphics by mix and matching from a set of base patterns.

Arctic Edge brings all the thrills and spills of MotorStorm to the PS2 and PSP, and players can enjoy the action in multi-player split screen mode.
