Summary
Who would have thought they would see a return for Kage, the hero of the very first Legend of Kage? Well, you can't keep a good Ninja from the Iga village down. So, after more than a decade away from home video game platforms, seeing him on the DS is less of a surprise and more of a welcome reprise.
Kage is, after all, a hero. The DS version of his adventures see him – along with another Iga ninja, Chihro – off to rescue the princess Kirihime from the clutches of the demonic Yoshiro Yukikusa.
Of course, the princess is no wilting flower. She actually has the power to bring entire nations to destruction. Fortunately due to a good upbringing by her father – Ieyasu Tokugawa – she's unlikely to use those powers.
Unfortunately, Yukikusa's hatred for her father means that nothing will stop him from attempting to combine his powers with those of the princess. Nothing, that is, save Kage and his allies.
Using the DS's stylus and screens you must learn the skills of Ninjitsu (such as splitting into your own shadows for multiple-pronged attacks, and throwing fireballs). Pick up glowing Element Orbs the complete these skills along the road to your final victory – or the total destruction of everything you hold dear.
