Summary

Amnesia is bad news. It might have seemed bad for Harold Bishop in Neighbours, but the tubby fella's problems have nothing on those of the Protagonist in Baroque. This guy woke to find the world in ruins, and that's just for starters.

The world has been burned in an event known as The Blaze, and you awaken with only a gnawing sense of guilt to guide you. When the figure known as the Archangel instructs you to head to the Neuro Tower in the quest to reach the bottom, you follow instructions. The world ended already, so you might as well do as your told, eh?

Don't expect it to be easy, though. Expect to die. As you die and respawn outside the tower, however, more and more pieces of the plot fall into place. As you crawl through the many shifting dungeons you're presented with, you'll find that the game is an interesting exercise in game design, letting the player take the journey he or she wants to take and eschewing any kind of rails to guide you.

Along the way you'll find twisted character designs and a deep, rich plot. And, if you persevere, you might just find God...
