Summary

Based on the DreamWorks Animation movie written, produced by and starring Jerry Seinfeld, Bee Movie Game allows players to race, chase, fly and blast their way through the adrenaline-fuelled world from the feature film. As Barry B. Benson, you go on a journey to save the bees' production of honey, which takes you to New York City and beyond. In the PlayStation 2 version of Bee Movie Game, there are two adventure-filled areas for Barry to explore: New Hive City and New York City. Master the hustle and bustle of the Hive and venture outside the Hive to navigate the hazards and excitement of the outside world in 15-plus levels of fun. There's also some bonus Bee Movie content - previously unseen, of course - courtesy of Dreamworks and publisher Activision.

New Hive City is where you live and work, a wax city constructed by bees that is located inside a beehive in New York's Central Park. Before you can go out and adventure in the big city, you'll have to build up Barry's strength, speed and stamina in a series of challenges within the Hive. Once you are ready to venture into NYC, you'll experience the sensory overload that comes with your first visit to the Big Apple. Granted, just reeling around in awe doesn't make for a great film or videogame, and that's where the racing and chasing and buzzing around New York City comes in. It's a fast-paced, pollen-collecting, traffic-dodging world out there, and you'll get help along the way with hi-tech bee gear including the state-of-the-art collecting tool called 'The Pollenator' and your super secret spy camera. Multiplayer action is an option too, with split-screen hotrod racing on the ground or aerial races. The PS2 version also features Generation Hex Arcade which is a selection of classic 16-bit style Activision arcade games revisited in all-new bee themes!
