Summary

Two rival Korean gangs - the Jopoks and the Gangpehs - have entered into an all-out city-wide war. SWAT leader Kurt Wolfe and his team have been assigned to lead the task of restoring order amid the chaos and destruction that's tearing the city apart. What Kurt and his team don't know is that hidden behind the confusion the gang rivalry is causing are plans to detonate a massive bomb somewhere in New York. It's up to Kurt and his team to bring down the group planning the terrorist act and take out the bomb. If SWAT fails, the liberty of the country as we know it will cease to exist.

With a script from renowned writer Scott Rosenbaum (TV's The Shield) SWAT: Target Liberty's setting and subject matter is certainly topical. Each officer in the SWAT unit has a specialty and using a unique skill system, the player can upgrade their individual combat expertise to increase their chances of success. The game also features an ad-hoc multiplayer system which allows gamers to play in a variety of game modes.
