Summary

Runaway: A Road Adventure was a point and click adventure game released in 2004 for the PC. The game boasted a unique graphic style, was extremely funny and had numerous puzzles for players to enjoy. Building on the success of the first game, Pendulo Studios has worked tirelessly to make sure the sequel, Runaway 2: The Dream of the Turtle is better than its predecessor.

Players assume the role of Brian Basco (the hero of the first game) who must rescue his friend, Gina Timmins - an ex-stripper - who has been kidnapped by the world's most powerful army. You must explore more than 100 different places across the planet, throughout the six detailed chapters of this new adventure. Freezing cold Alaska, sun-drenched Hawaii, a hostile jungle and aboard a huge yacht are just some of the places players will travel on this incredible journey. Fans of the first game will be delighted to hear that there is a wealth of new characters in Runaway 2, as well as some familiar faces like Joshua the mad professor and Sushi Douglas, the millionaire hacker. Pendulo Studios has also made sure that there are countless challenges and puzzles for gamers to attempt to solve.

As in the first game, Runaway 2: The Dream of the Turtle offers a comprehensive and elegant universe without damaging the game's cartoon style. Thanks to its evolved engine and special effects, there have been many technical improvements made. Runaway 2 is that rare thing - a worthwhile sequel to a still-popular game.
