Summary

Lemmings was originally released for the Amiga in 1991 and has had a loyal following ever since. Just like real lemmings, the ones in the game have little regard for their own lives and will happily walk to their death unless you stop them from doing so. The aim is to get as many lemmings to the end of the level as possible by building bridges, digging through land, and using other specialist skills to get to the next level.

The PS2 version of Lemmings features the same 156 madcap levels that were present on the PSP version released in March 2006. Both versions boast a level editor that can be used to share custom designs between the platforms. For example, levels you designed on your PSP can be played on the PS2 when you get home and vice-versa. The main difference between both versions is the PS2's EyeToy Mode, in which gamers must use their bodies - as opposed to the controller - to help guide the lemmings to safety. You will be able to make bridges with your body, pick the lemmings up in your hands and even use your legs to protect the trusting little chaps from danger. Lemmings for the PS2 will have 20 EyeToy specific levels for gamers to enjoy.

Lemmings has always been one of those games that was easy to learn but extremely difficult to master, and the PS2 version is no different. The new EyeToy Mode is both a clever and welcome addition, and one which adds great enjoyment to an already classic game.
