Summary

Finding those morning bus rides into work un-involving? Finding the crazy old man sat next to you uninteresting? Want to escape to somewhere brighter and more fantastic? Don't worry, Ignition Entertainment's here for you.

Set in the beautiful land of Lunadia, Blade Dancer: Lineage of Light is here to bring colour to your morning commute. In times gone past a fierce battle raged between the Evil Demon Lord and the Guardian of Light, the finely-named Blade Dancer Gerald. He won out, luckily, but proceeded to disappear under mysterious circumstances.

Move forwards 1000 years and a young warrior named Lance makes his way to the Island of Foo, the place rumoured to contain the trapped Demon Lord. His arrival threatens to drag the darkness of the past into the light of the present. Grab your swords, folks, a battle with the forces of darkness is a'brewin'.

Featuring 40 hours of basic gameplay, the game features a bounty of additional sub-quests and enemies to fight off the beaten path. You might wonder why you'd go out of your way to fight baddies that Ignition tells you might be too tough for you. The answer comes in the form of the game's crafting system.

The crafting system allows you to build items that might be a bit outside your price range otherwise. To do this, however, you'll need materials. Killing something may well be the only way to get the stuff you need.

Blade Dancer also features a multi-player option that utilises the PSP's wireless functionality. By teaming up with your friends you'll be able to snag rare weapons that will help you on your way.

Blade Dancer might earn you some funny looks from your fellow bus riders, but at least it'll keep you away from the crazy guy sat next to you.
