Summary

Typical, isn't it? We give monkeys a big career break in letting them use typewriters, and their show of gratitude is causing havoc in our society. Just look at the popular Ape Escape series for reference. Ape Academy was a spinoff for the PSP that featured all the simians we've come to love, and gave us loads of multiplayer minigame fun to boot.

The original was such a hit with the portable crowd, that Ape Academy 2 was a formality, and here it is, with over 100 new minigames to sift through. The game is set on a wacky 'Rock Paper Scissors' card battle scenario, with 300 cards to collect and use in the heat of combat with your opponent! Funky minigames you can expect to play include an awesome stick fight on platforms, akin to that in Gladiators, a ski jumping game and boxing.

Up to two people can chimp it up head-to-head, with a ranking system for each player meaning there's extra bragging rights for those on a lower level to you. The classic, manic formula is relatively unchanged, with opponents sharing a PSP to do battle - and the extra bonus of a 'shield' covering up half of the console so you cannot see what tactics or cards your friend has. For fans of the original and minigame aficionados alike, it's a no-brainer to pick up Ape Academy 2.
