Summary
Its that chilly time of year again. The time of year when men with funny shaped balls, otherwise known as Rugby fans, get all excited about the various rugby competitions including the Six Nations, Lions Tour, Tri Nations, Guinness Premiership and the Super 14. And, true to form, EA SPORTS Rugby 06's features all of the above.
The gameplay in Rugby 06 now mirrors the real thing closer than ever before, with new moves such as off-load passes, quick line-outs and quick penalties that encourage attacking, momentum-driven rugby. Gamers can also dictate play with their star Impact Players and can choose from a variety of new set plays to pile on the pressure and keep their opponents firmly on the back foot.
The game essentially builds on what we've come to know and like from past versions in the series - TV-style presentation, stadiums from all over the world, including the UK's glorious Twickenham, Lansdowne Road, the Millennium Stadium and Murrayfield. Commentary comes courtesty of the respected commentator Ian Robertson and All Black legend Grant Fox. If you are a Rugby fan you will enjoy this game. If not, you'll probably still be as confused about the rules - and all the fuss - as you were before.
