Summary

Key of Heaven for the PSP is developed by Climax and is an action RPG set somewhere in the far east during medieval times. You are Shinbu, a disciple of the Seiryu clan, kicked out for punching his master. To make matters worse, Shinbu's parents were killed by mysterious villains. He then goes to live with a wise old man and becomes a bodyguard, hiring himself out to wary travellers. Everything changes when he meets a pretty young girl called Sui Lin who just happens to belong to the Seiryu clan. The only problem is that the rest of the clan has been murdered, and Sui Lin wants Shinbu to help her find the culprits, retrieve an ancient sword and restore the clan to its former glory.

This is where the game begins, an adventure that will take you across the continent of Ohka, collecting many different items, meeting various weird and wonderful characters, while avenging the death of Shinbu's parents along the way.

Key of Heaven is impressively presented. In-game and during cut-scenes, characters are depicted realistically. Everything from moss-covered rocks to hanging Chinese lanterns, are rich in detail. The backgrounds are also remarkable, with snow-topped mountains rising beautifully in the distance with some striking sunsets.

If Samurai action RPG's are your thing, keep a look out for Key of Heaven.
