Summary
Once a most prolific franchise, EA/Bullfrog’s popular Theme Park series has been missing in action for some time. More recent versions included excellent editors for building your own rollercoasters and then riding them. There hasn’t been an update in years, but amusement ride construction and management simulations still have a market on PC, and Atari have taken up the baton with the publishing of their Rollercoaster Tycoon games.
In 2004, the third in the series came clicking, clattering and whooshing onto the shelves, and offered more features than ever before. All-new 3D graphics show your lovingly-crafted rollercoaster in all its glory, and you can now enjoy the ride yourself or just watch with friends from the crowd. Graphically, everything gets an overhaul, with the park’s very guests looking more detailed than ever before. As well as featuring all-new rides and attractions, the game boasts a realistic day and night cycle as well as weather cycles. Make your theme park the next Universal Studios as you embellish your creations with thrilling smoke, flame, earthquake and even monster attack special effects.
