Summary

A direct sequel to the 2003 original, Port Royal once again pits players as tycoon in a world where ships are the dominant form of transport.

Taking place in the Caribbean during the 17th century, you will trade with more than 60 towns in order to create your own production facilities. Doing so not only boosts your trading empire, it'll grand you a larger influence on the development of the New World.

But trading isn't everything, as pirates and military fleets threaten your trade convoys. You'll have to provide Escort ships for your convoys to turn the tide, as well as hunt for pirates or military ships. As you go on, you'll become more and more famous as you expand your own fleet and stock of goods.

And if that's not enough, you can also take on missions for merchants, diplomats and other characters. Even with the more desirable missions of the Vice Kings, where you are to attack and conquer enemy towns, you will be able to influence the defenses of your home towns directly. As a sign of gratitude you will be awarded land, to be used later to build and oversee your own towns.
Port Royale 2 is every bit as challenging and demanding as its predecessor, but it's more polished and in-depth, making it a worthwhile sequel.
