Summary

Robots is a movie from Blue Sky, the same CGI wizards that brought the entertaining Prehistoric romp Ice Age to the screen. Featuring the voices of Halle Berry, Ewan McGregor, Robin Williams and Mel Brooks, the film is set in a world populated entirely by robots. The action follows Rodney Copperbottom, who has journeyed to Robot City hoping to meet his hero, the inventor Big Weld. Little does he realise at first that Big Weld has disappeared, and the evil Ratchet has taken over his company, Big Weld Industries. Can Rodney and his friends the Rusties put a stop to the nefarious Ratchet, and restore order to Robot City?

Vivendi have acquired the game rights and are publishing games for PS2, GameCube and Xbox to coincide with its release. Teaming up with his trusty Wonderbot, Rodney and his pals, the Rusties, must explore the world of the movie, all rendered in beautiful 3D. You can help robots that you meet on your way, use the city’s crazy transport system to make your way around, but you cannot escape your mission – you must battle the devilish Ratchet’s bot thugs and solve puzzles to get to the bottom of Big Weld’s mysterious disappearance. You’ll need to upgrade Rodney and Wonderbot’s skills weapons and gadgets, though, if you are to stand a chance. All your favourite characters from the movie feature in the game too, so the game looks like a lot of fun for people who can’t get enough of this entertaining film.
