Summary

We can't deny that Scooby Doo is a personal favourite of ours, so when it was announced that a new Scooby game would be coming our way, we thought we'd give it a go. This time around we look at Scooby on GameCube in THQ's brand new adventure, Mystery Mayhem.

Like most of Scooby's adventures, Mystery Mayhem pits players deep in the heart of another mysterious case involving a mega industrialist called Travis Sherman and his obsessed assistant Selena Jones. There's only one way to find out what's going on...

And so the adventure begins. Like many of Scooby's previous instalments, such as Night of 100 Frights, Mystery Mayhem is, amongst the puzzle solving and conversations with Velma, a 3D platform game that challenges player to wander a variety of spookily themed locales in search of clues, collectibles, and of course, Scooby Snacks.

The adventure spans a total of six locales that comprise of Hambridge University, Milton Bros Movie Studio, Wild West Theme Park, Deep South Bayou, Eerie Island and Sherman Tech Headquarters. Each area plays host to a handful of levels and has a distinct cartoon feel. There is also, of course, a selection of end-of-level bosses and an array of cut-scenes around to drive the story forwards.

With all this going on, not to mention an a plethora of hidden extras, art galleries and mini-games, Mystery Mayhem will go down well with kids and grown up Scooby fans alike.
