Summary

Poor old Shrek. All he wants to do is wallow in his favourite swamp, enjoy some peace and quiet and a glass of bug juice. But it ain't gonna happen. In fact, the very home Shrek loves so much has been taken from him and it's up to you GBA-wielding gamers to get it back.

Based on the animated film, players take on the role of Shrek, Princess Fiona or Donkey in a quest to take back your sacred swamp for good. A story divided into several fairytale chapters, Hassle at the Castle has its players battling against Lord Farquaad's henchmen, collecting valuable treasure in a traditional platform adventure.

Your game consists of 20 large stages, filled with the usual onslaught of bad guys, coins, bonus lives and other valuable collectibles that will help you complete the tasks given to you. Some stages have Shrek searching for his lost friends, while others have him protecting Red Riding Hood from the Big Bad Wolf.

It's really a simple case of reaching the end of the level, killing the boss and going home, but it's a lot of fun, especially for avid Shrek fans and children. There's even a multi-player fighting mode in which two players can engage in a little light-hearted combat for extra fun.

Shrek may have disappeared from the big screen, but he's always welcome on Game Boy Advance.
