Summary

Another year, another Christmas, and as usual there's a scrooge in town just waiting to ruin it for everyone. This time it's an evil witch, and you must guide a fateful child, Nick, through 36 levels across 12 massive worlds in order to defeat her and save Christmas for everyone.

A dedicated old school 2D side-scrolling game, each of the snowy locales are loaded with enemies from a 30-strong bestiary, and become increasingly difficult to defeat as you progress further towards the witch's lair. To make life even more interesting, there's a plethora of bottomless pits and other natural hazards littered in inappropriate locations within each level.

But a wonderfully simple control system helps Nick to negotiate some of the more formidable challenges with greater ease. And if you're still not comfortable, there are two difficulty settings, accommodating players of any skill level.

From JoWood, Santa Claus Junior is a great little platformer, and a good follow up to its Game Boy Color predecessor.
